This blog was started as a journal for both my son and I and what we do in minecraft together. Unfortunately we haven't had time to both get on lately so its been solo work mostly but I hope to get us up and running on the ME^3 adventure mod soon™.
Anyhow, until then I've been running a custom mod pack using the 1.7.10 core and playing around a bit. Firstly I have fallen in love with Mekanism's Atomic Disassembler and Jet Pack...OMG. I'm also trying out Tinker's Construct again....I love the crafting tables but I'm not sure I like much more of the Mod.
Finally I've DLed the COH core mods including Thermal Expansion and Minefactory Reloaded. These are a very good set of mods that I'm excited about trying out. It's a shame that Magic Seeds seems to have lost its author as that is a great mod for peaceful non-Nether players like myself and goes so well with the farming in MFR. Oh well.
I also tried out EnderIO for a spell but its transition to 1.7.10 came with some radical changes to the crafting patterns that I'm not very fond of so unfortunately I had to drop it's lovely conduits and as COH has not yet implemented ducts for 1.7 I'm left using Mek's piping along with some from Extra Utilities.
Oh and Openblocks seems completely broken currently which really is a damn shame as it includes some really nice features like the sprinkler, construction block and sleeping bag. too bad that.

Looks like there may be hope for open blocks after all. =D
Also there is a laser mod I need to look into called Electromagnetic Coherence.
Oh and Big Reactors will probably be added in sooner rather than later as I try out the digital miner.

Day2
Today we FOUND DIAMONDS. So many diamonds we made a pick and a sword. Also we found gold and fixed the iron problem we had. We made a clock for the mines and full iron armor for protection. Next we need a enchant table and we are real CLOSE! But again I died a lot and we forgot some crafting recipes (alaph). XD but seriously shears really? Anyway it was Veary fun!

Day The First
Haha, good summary Type1 but do not forget your punctuation.
So yeah it took me a few minutes to get back into the wood punching groove but once I remembered what I was doing things took off.
Our spawn was on a gorgeous mountain side with lush trees all around us. It wasn't until around the third night cycle that I realized we had no aminals? No cows, no pigs, no chickens. Fortunately T1 had gathered some string and began to fish us up something tasty. Meanwhile I used my time to punch trees and build a small dirt and wood shelter... you know cause I didn't want to die over and over XD
I was shocked to find a witch living in a cave under our house and then even more shocked when she came flying at us out in the woods near the homestead! Who knew!
Finally I did find one chicken. ONE! I dug a small pen for the little clucker and collected up an egg.
The area we are in is really nice with a small pond by the house and larger lake not far away. There are trees as far as the eye can see. Oh and the spawn point had wolves, so there's that. Good times.
Our over all goal is to defeat the ender dragon and a wither but for now its fun just going through vanilla and enjoying the serenity of minecraft.

day 1
Today we started out with dad [alaph] trying to remember how to play minecraft and me dying a lot but as we progressed i seemed to die less and dad seemed to remember how to play the game. I found a cave while strip mining and dad found a little iron for food we fished and at the end of the day found a chikon. i thought it was funny watching my dad know less than me and to see me die about a million times to mobs but at the end of the day we had done well killed our first witch and got two iron chest plates two iron swords and two picks so turned out good see you in day two!
